These splendid ships, often over a hundred years old, sail in the magnificent bay of Cannes. It's a spectacle of rare beauty, appreciated by spectators from all over the world. On board 2 of the world's most legendary yachts, the « French Kiss » and the « South Australia », we are offering you the exceptional opportunity to take part in the Régates Royales de Cannes on Wednesday 25 September or Saturday 28 September. Yes, you read that right, you'll be able to take part as a real crew member supervised by your crew. These are extraordinary moments that will remain engraved in your memory forever. The story of the extraordinary yacht built for the America's Cup: French Kiss
In 1987, Marc Pajot, a French skipper with an impressive track record, took the helm of French Kiss. A revolutionary yacht and a true emblem of French know-how, inaugurated by President Jacques Chirac at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, she would take Marc Pajot and his crew all the way to the semi-finals of the America's Cup, the world's biggest 12MJI class yacht race. Never before has a French team made it so far up the list of winners in this legendary world sailing competition, and never again a yacht that has inspired so many dreams in France. With an extraordinary track record, she remains a symbol of excellence known and recognised around the world.
This 12MJI was built in Vendée, in the middle of the pastures in a hangar kept secret. After an exceptional career, French Kiss remained out of the water for more than 10 years. But in 2022, just as she had drifted away from her natural element and the podiums, three enthusiasts decided to buy her back along with a 2nd 12MJI yacht that also took part in the America's Cup, the 'South Australia', and embark on an identical restoration. Their aim: to get these legendary yachts sailing again in legendary regattas all over Europe, and to give as many people as possible a unique and unforgettable experience on these 2 exceptional yachts.
